​Borrowing Rules

​​

• The readers should check the books thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, etc. while getting them issued.

• No book in damaged condition will be accepted from the users on return. Damaged books will have to be replaced by the borrower.

Conventions for Issues / Return

​

• General books are issued to all eligible members as per their entitlements.

• Book Bank books are issued to SC/ST Students for one month.

• Reference books are issued to members with special permission. Please contact Librarian for obtaining permission.

• Some of the books cannot be issued; it can be used for reading purpose only.

• CDs are not lent out of the Library.

Overdue Fine

​

Items that are returned after the due date are considered overdue. Overdue fines are assessed at the following rates:

• Rs. 5.00 per day for the books issued from General Section           

• In case of any type of fine, the same is to be deposited at the Account Section and the receipt is to be produced in the section for settlement.

Loss of Identity Card/Library Card

​

• The loss of Identity Card and Library Card should be reported to Librarian. The concerned section will issue duplicate Identity card. Users shall be responsible for any loss or misuse of their original/duplicate card.

• If Library Card is lost a new card will be issued on payment of Rs. 15/-.​
